Case Study: Shipment clearance solutions for EPC Contractor

 AZKA’s extensive knowledge of processing master levy exemptions from governing authorities helped action steps to resolve the concerns for EPC Contractor’s shipment

Project included: Over 8,000 FT of break Bulk cargo, 18 heavy lift items and 108 containers that arrived UMQ port remain uncleared incurring port storage and liner demurrage  amounting to over million USD in losses

1. Approached consignee and requested for master levy contract information and submitted details to Ministry of Export and Ministry of Finance
2. Delay in providing approval from investment corporation and onward communication to Ministry of Export and Ministry of Finance was studied and request for partial approval for levy exemption under special authorization was proposed and secured  
3. Undertaking for resolving port storage charges was obtained from consignee and processed from Ministry of Export, Ministry of Finance & Ministry of Transport
4. Request for reduction of liner demurrage was taken up with concerned carriers leading to over 40% discount saving few thousands USD  
5. Special discount secured with port operator against assurance of 2-year project contract
6. Against special approval of arrived shipments clearance from port & customs was done successfully and goods were delivered to site locations
